Power and pop is great. It is light in the hands, however a beginner may find this a little bit difficult to control the pop. The feel of the paddle is crisp and loud - personally, I like hearing the sound from the paddle as it lets me know if I hit the sweet spot or not. I find the handle was too rounded compared to my other branded paddles, especially after applying an overgrip. I have solved this by applying a hesacore silicon grip to provide more handle definition.

I bought the ultra to see if it is any good and hopefully be better than the bigger brands. *generating spin is good *personally I need more control and weight to balance dead spots. For now ill rate it 3/5, going to tweak it by adding weight to see if it makes any difference.
